Balparmak was established in 1980 as a family company aiming to process,
pack and market bee products. Now, Balparmak has become the first modern
and specialized honey packing company in Turkey. Balparmak has a processing
capacity of 50% of total Turkish honey production.
It is one of the top 5 companies in Europe with a 24,000 ton/year packing
capacity and laboratory. Balparmak is the only company
in Turkey that analyses all the honey purchased to be packed. In this
way the importance given by Balparmak to its customers is proven.
TURKISH HONEY: The quality, flavour and aroma of the honey produced
in Turkey cannot be found in any other place in the world.
The variety is limited in other countries, even those with high levels
of honey crops.
50,000 beekeepers in Turkey provide a yearly honey production of approx.
50,000 tons. 40% of this production is honeydew (pine tree) honey.
96% of world pine tree honey production is Turkish.
Most of the honey produced is consumed in the national market.
Balparmak has invested in quality control making a
technology investment of 1,000,000$. We collaborated with APPLICA during
the establishment of the laboratory and use specialized employees trained
abroad. We have invested in R&D activities, national & international
projects. We participate regularly in congresses and symposiums.
All our source material goes for product analysis: A lot number is given
for each homogenised 20 tons of honey blend. Each lot is analysed and
its quality is certified.
